Ingredients & Allergen Notice

Made from the leaves of the tea plant (Camellia sinensis). Common Taiwanese cultivars include Qingxin Oolong, Jinxuan, and Sijichun. Tea itself contains no specific allergens for most people, but some individuals may be sensitive to caffeine or tea polyphenols.

Unique Processing & Appearance

Oolong is a “semi-oxidized” tea—positioned between non-oxidized green tea and fully oxidized black tea. The leaves are typically rolled into tight balls or semi-spheres; once unfurled, the edges show a reddish hue, creating the distinctive “green leaf with red rim” look.

A Spectrum of Flavors

Thanks to variations in oxidation and roast, Taiwanese oolong offers remarkable diversity—from fresh, floral, and fruity notes to deeper, toasty aromas. For example, High Mountain Oolong features elegant floral accents, while Dong Ding Oolong is known for its rich, roasty character.

Origin Characteristics

Taiwan’s geography is ideal for oolong. Major regions such as Nantou, Chiayi, and Taichung each express a unique “terroir” shaped by elevation and climate.
